James Dale
James B. Dale, MD is the Gene H. Stollerman Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and his MD degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He has achieved a national and international reputation for research on group A streptococcal infections. He has published over 120 original scientific articles and reviews in the area of infectious diseases. Dr. Dale has received continuous U.S. federal research funding for 34 years and has devoted his entire research career to the study of the pathogenesis of group A streptococcal infections and the design, development and clinical testing of streptococcal vaccines.
